Congress approves new Tax on corporations and companies.
Law comes into effect on April 1, 2012.

On December 23, 2011, the Congress of the Republic of Costa Rica approved a new Bill of Law by means of which a new tax has been imposed on Mercantile Entities (which comprehends any Costa Rican mercantile corporation or company or any Costa Rican branch or representative of a foreign company).

Land taxes are up for collection.
First quarter of 2012 has to be paid before the end of March.

Municipalities are pesenting for collection the bill for land taxes for the first quarter of the year 2012, which has to be paid before the end of March. Payment for the taxes for the full 2012 year can also be made.
